About the event
Simon Savage is a highly respected tenor saxophonist on the South Coast jazz scene, known for his commanding, expressive tone and deep connection to the Blue Note and hard-bop traditions. He has performed at the Cork International Jazz Festival and Love Supreme Festival, as well as leading venues including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and the 606 Club in London.
For this special trio performance, Simon is joined by guitarist Jason Henson, with a programme of classic standards and arrangements played with a strong blues edge. Expect an evening of swinging jazz, lyrical ballads and plenty of spontaneous interplay.
